Gary E. Schwartz, Ph.D. is professor of psychology, medicine, neurology, psychiatry and surgery at the University of Arizona and director of its Human Energy Systems Laboratory. After receiving his doctorate from Harvard University, he served as a professor of psychology and psychiatry at Yale University, director of the Yale Psychophysiology Center, and co-director of the Yale Behavioral Medicine Clinic.
He has published more than 450 scientific papers, including six papers in the journal SCIENCE, co-edited 11 academic books, and is the author of The Energy Healing Experiments (2007), The G.O.D. Experiments (2006), The Afterlife Experiments (2002), The Truth about Medium (2005), and The Living Energy Universe (1999). His research integrates mind-body medicine, energy medicine, and spiritual medicine. His new book The Sacred Promise: How Science is Discovering Spirit's Collaboration with Us in Our Daily Lives was published in 2010.
Lately, Dr. Schwartz has parcipated in Spiritist Events such as the U.S. Spiritist Medical Congress (3rd and 4th) where he has enchanted the audience with his scientific findings on health and spirituality.
On October 19, 2008, Dr. Schwartz participated on the 1st U.S Peace and You Movement in Baltimore, MD, where he received the Peace and You Award from Divaldo Franco.
At the 7th U. S. Spiritist Symposium in Dallas-TX, Dr Schwartz will be talking about his book entitled "The Truth about Medium" published in 2005.
