Anisio Resem is a cofounder and the current president of the Spiritist Society of San Diego. He has been active in the Spiritist movement for more than 20 years and has collaborated and studied at institutions like the Spiritist Federation of the State of Sao Paulo (FEESP) and the Allan Kardec Spiritist Center of Campinas, both in Brazil. He has been deeply involved with the study and practice of Mediumship inside the Spiritist framework for more than 10 years. Mr. Resem has a degree in Electrical Engineering with specializations in Business Management and Software Engineering.
Brian Vosberg was born in the United States and was raised in a number of places around the world. Working as a Civil Construction Engineer, he was brought to the New Jersey area and was introduced to the Spiritist Group Love and Light in 2005. Since that time he has read and studied numerous Spiritist and Religious books and has become an instructor for the Center teaching adults, teens and leading an Introductory course of Spiritism for those new to center.
Bernadete Leal, BA, MAED (Candidate). Bernadete was born and raised in Brazil and has been working with Spiritism for more than 16 years. She studied Spiritist Philosophy at FEESP (Spiritist Federation of the State of Sao Paulo). She worked with local shanty towns in Brazil and taught Spiritism to the needy families. She was also an ESL teacher. Bernadete moved to San Diego, California, in 1996 and has been helping to disseminate the Spiritist ideas in English. She also worked with children and teenagers on spiritual teachings as a former Youth Director at the Unity Church in El Cajon, CA. Inspired by Rudolf Steiner and the studies of Waldorf Education in the US, Mrs. Leal does volunteer work in the San Diego Public Schools as a tutor and helping children with learning difficulties. She has a passion for music and is a singer and song writer performing and speaking in spiritual and spiritist centers. Bernadete Leal is currently a board member of the Spiritist Society of San Diego and the Coordinator of the YSE (Youth Spiritist Education): a subdivision of the United States Spiritist Council.
Daniel T. Assisi, MPA, PMP, is a member of the board of directors at Blossom Spiritist Society, in Los Angeles, California. Daniel has been an active participant in the Spiritist movement in California for over 10 years and has spoken throughout the United States and abroad. Mr. Assisi works at the California Charter Schools Association as the Director of Operations and Information Technologies supporting the over 900 charter schools throughout the state. Mr. Assisi also holds a Master in Public Administration with a Graduate Certificate in Public Policy from the School of Planning, Policy, and Development at the University of Southern California, and is a credentialed Project Management Professional. Daniel lives in Los Angeles, with his wife Nicole.
Daniela Oliveira, B.S, H.C. is the general coordinator of the Spiritist Society of Chicago. Born and raised in Brazil, she graduated with a degree in Psychology from the University of Texas and received her degree in Holistic Health Counseling from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Mrs. Oliveira works as a holistic counselor in Chicago, IL.
Elza D'Agosto started a study group at her home in 1997, joined the Spiritist Group Love & Light of Newark, New Jersey in 1998. Her home study group joined Love & Light in 2000. For Love and Light served on the Board of Directors since 1999 as vice-president, president, and vice-president currently. She is the current Secretary of the United States Spiritist Council. Member American Translators Association since 1995 (member of the Portuguese Language Division, Literary Translation Division, Medical Division, and Science Division) National Council of Non-profits and National Notary Association and Amnesty International. Elza worked in the Financial Division of AT&T for 20 years and Prudential Insurance Corp. for 5 years. She has also worked for the Brazilian General Consulate in San Francisco, CA.
Glaucio Pessoa was born in Recife, Brazil in a Spiritist family. In his lifelong involvement with the Spiritist movement he has coordinated mediumship and Spiritist youth education groups. He holds a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, and currently works and resides with his wife and two children in Atlanta, GA.
Joao Korngold, BS, MBA. is one of the founders and directors of the Spiritist Group of New York and the Spiritist Alliance for Books. He is a Spiritist for more than 16 years and has been one of the directors of the mediumship meeting for the past 8 years. He is also responsible for Sunday's study group at SGNY that focus on the basic books of Spiritism and on the Andre Luiz Collection. Joao Korngold is an Engineer and has been working as a banker for the past 20 years.
Julio Carvalho first encountered the Spiritist Doctrine when he was about 14yo. Since then, he has become an active participant in the USA Spiritist movement, has co-founded the Spiritist Center Divine Light in Newark-NJ which he coordinates with a group of friends and has become a prolific speaker, disseminating the Spiritist message not only in the Tri-State area but also in the Union County Jail where he works as a Mental Health Counselor.
Jussara Korngold, BS, MBA. Jussara is the founder and president of the Spiritist Alliance for Books (SAB), a non-profit organization, which has the sole aim to promote and disseminate the Spiritist Philosophy, in English, as codified by Allan Kardec. Mrs. Korngold is also one of the founders and directors of the Spiritist Group of New York, located in Manhattan, New York City. Mrs. Korngold is also a Spiritist writer, author of three books, and has been translating Spiritist materials and books since 1993. Jussara Korngold is currently the vice-president of the United States Spiritist Council. Mrs. Korngold has been working as a volunteer in the office of Brazil Child Health in New York, since it's opening in 2000, as its main executive.
Luiz Lima was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In 1990, Luiz moved to the United States, where he then came in contact with Spiritism a few years later. He has been lecturing on Spiritism in both Portuguese and English and is a member of the Kardec Spirit Renovation Spiritist Center, in Coconut Creek, Florida. Luiz holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and currently works in the computer network business.
Kirsten De Melo was born and raised in the USA. Professionally she is a Registered Nurse specialized in Critical Care. She is a second generation Spiritist and active board member of The Spiritist Society of Philadelphia. She has been actively studying Spiritism since childhood. She coordinates meetings twice a week and gives talks on various Spiritist subjects.
Robert Blakely, BA. Robert, a Spiritist since 1992, has been involved in a number of activities at Spiritist centers, participating in study groups, teaching young people aged 12 to 18, giving speeches, and performing editing of Spiritist literature translated from Portuguese into English. In addition, he has done editing work on the website, ExploreSpiritism.com, which was developed by the Leon Denis Spiritist Group. Mr. Blakely lives in Coconut Creek, Florida, with his wife, Angelica, and their two children.
Sonia Doi is member of the Allan Kardec Spiritist Society of Maryland since 1990 and, currently, is the Doctrinal Director on this organization. She is also one of the founders and president of the U.S. Spiritist Medical Association. Professional career: MD, PhD, Associate Professor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University, Bethesda, Maryland.
Suzana Simões, PT, MS, DPT, is a physical therapist with vast experience in the area of neurology and geriatric care. Suzana is one of the founders of the Conscious Living Spiritist Group in Miami, a charitable nonprofit organization with the mission of raising awareness about Spiritism in the United States and of improving people's quality of life through self-knowledge and inner transformation. Suzana is one of the associate-editors of The Spiritist Magazine and a member of the Board of Directors of the Spiritist Federation of Florida.
Tania Schwartz is one of the founders and director of Kardec Spiritist Group of Austin, in the capital of Texas. Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, Tania has been active in the Spiritist movement for over 30 years. She has been in Texas for 11 years, after having lived in São Paulo, Paris and California and continuously worked in the dissemination of Spiritism. Tania has a BA in Language and Literature with professional experience in International Marketing.
Vanessa Anseloni, Psy.D., Ph.D. is a neuroscientist and psychologist. She is the founder of the Spiritist Society of Baltimore. Vanessa Anseloni is also medium and translator of Spiritist books. As a national and international speaker, she has been training and teaching several groups on the Spiritist teachings and its therapeutic practices. Recently wrote the book The New Generation with Divaldo Franco.
